Share Lives
In a multiplayer game once you die press start to borrow a life from your teammate, they must have at least 1 life.

Mushroom Kingdom Stage
To unlock the Mushroom Kingdom classical Mario stage, complete with pirana plants, POWS and more, you must beat the game with each of the 8 original (not secret) characters and play at least one match on all of the stages in versus mode.

Item Switch Menu
To unlock the Item Switch (lets you turn off or on items, and set the frequencey of items) in multiplayer mode, you must at least start 100 matches in versus mode, but you do not have to finish the fights.

Sound Test Menu
To unlock the sound test menu, complete Bonus one and Bonus two with each character.
